B98.5 partners with the Jersey Shore Animal Center in Brick to bring shelter animals together with their “forever families” and help raise funds through monetary donations and pet food donations.

Each Friday midday host Van Dusen introduces the audience to a new Furry Friend in need of a loving home. You can view the potential adoptees right here each week!

Momma Mia May

This week we continue with Momma Mia month of May for Mother’s Day. We have Babe this week. Another mother that raised six kittens, that have all been adopted. Now it’s mom’s turn to find a forever home. Babe is up to date on all shots, she’s spayed and will be micro chipped before she leaves the shelter. She is only $25 to adopt, and is a real affectionate feline.

This week we are starting Momma Mia May. We are trying to adopt the mothers of all of the kittens that have been adopted at the shelter over the past year. This weeks mother is Lorelei. She is a brown Tabby that was abandoned in a box last July along with her 7 babies. She was brought to the shelter and has been cared for ever since. She is a very pretty girl who is coming up on her 1 year anniversary at the shelter, and is ready to find a permanent home. She is very friendly, up to date on all shots, and is spayed. She will also be micro-chipped, and is up for adoption for $25. Stop in and see Lorelei.

Tweetie

This week we have Tweetie. She is a Peachface Lovebird. Loves to play with her toys, and loves to be out of her cage as much as possible.

Adam

This week we are showcasing Adam. He is a year-and-a-half old Border Collie/Aussie mix. He is super active, very trainable, is good with other dogs and is looking for a great home. He has his shots and is neutered. He will be micro-chipped before he leaves the shelter. Stop by The Jersey Shore Animal Center Tuesday through Sunday’s from 1pm-4pm.

Gracie

This week we have Gracie. She is a lab/hound mix who is about 1 year old. She is a very lovable girl, with all shots & vaccinations. She is neutered and is great with other animals and children. She comes from South Carolina, and is looking for her forever home here in New Jersey. You can stop by the Jersey Shore Animal Center Tuesday through Sunday from 1-4pm. Stop in today!

Rabbits

This week we have four bunny rabbits as we get ready for Easter. Note, these animals are not the best pets if you don’t know what you are doing. There is a lot more involved with owning a rabbit. A lot more effort involved with these animals, but if you are truly ready for it, we have four rabbits up for adoption. Their names are Cinnibon, Liam, Jasper, and one that has not been named yet. Archie

This week we have Archie. He is 1 year old Yellow Lab & Beagle mix. He’s very energetic, and super smart. Archie is a stand out star in obedience, and is very good with children and other animals. He is neutered and up to date with all required shots, and would be perfect in a busy, active household. Stop by the Jersey Shore Animal Center Tuesday through Sunday 1-4pm.

Dexter

This week we have Dexter. He is a 3-4 year old mini-pinscher terrier. He came in from South Carolina as a rescue dog. He has been at the JSAC for a few months now. He is very energetic, very well behaved dog. He gets along with other people and animals. Dexter is in great health, a happy dog who has been neutered and up to date with all shots. He would be good in a home with other cats and dogs, and children 8 years old and older as he is a little playful for real young children. Stop by the Jersey Shore Animal Center and take a look at Dexter or any of the other animals that are up for adoption.

Lefty

This week we have Lefty. He is a black & white Tuxedo Domestic cat. He came with his two brothers, months ago, and they have been adopted already. Lefty is a year old, he is very friendly and playful. He is neutered and up to date with shots. Stop in Tuesday through Sunday from 1p-4p to see Lefty and the other animals at the JSAC. All donations are welcomed!!

Portia

This week we are doing a follow-up to the Puppies Galore story. We have five dogs from the store here at The Jersey Shore Animal Center. Today we show you Portia The Maltese who is 3 months old. They were surrendered to the JSAC and have been spayed or neutered and are up to date on their appropriate shots. Stop in Tuesday through Sunday from 1-4pm to see for yourself.
