B98.5 partners with the Jersey Shore Animal Center in Brick to bring shelter animals together with their “forever families” and help raise funds through monetary donations and pet food donations.

Each Friday midday host Van Dusen introduces the audience to a new Furry Friend in need of a loving home. You can view the potential adoptees right here each week!

Minerva

This week we have Minerva. A Brown & White Tabby. She was brought in as a stray, and believe she is between a year and two years old. She is spayed, and up to date with all of her shots. She is very friendly and likes other cats, dogs and children. Stop down to the JSAC Tuesday through Sunday from 1-4pm to see Minerva, and the rest of the animals up for adoption.

This week we have Shyman. He is a 4 year old Chocolate Labrador. He was one of the 30 plus adult dogs that came out of the hording situation in Monmouth County that has been recently publicized. He is now neutered, and being re-socialized. He is very sweet, and is looking for a new place to call home. He also has a friend by the name of Ronny, another Chocolate Lab who is a female. Stop by and see Shyman and Ronny Tuesday through Sunday from 1-4pm at the JSAC. 188 Brick Boulevard in Brick, NJ.

Sugar Plumb

This week we have Sugar Plumb. She is a 4 month old female, spayed, domestic short-haired brown Tabby. She came to the shelter around Christmas time. She is a cutti pie, and is very friendly. If you are looking for a wonderful kitten, look no further. Sugar Plum is the one. You can stop into the JSAC Tuesday through Sunday between 1-4 to look at the animals. Stop on bye!!

Wonton

This week we have Wonton. A Siamese mix who came to the shelter as a stray. She is about 2 years old, recently spaded. There are also about 24 other cats to see for yourself in Meowville. Stop by the shelter Tuesday through Sunday 1-4pm.

Tiegan

This week we have Tiegan. She is a black & white terrier mix that was abandoned by her owner during the holiday’s. The JSAC picked her up as a stray, and she is up for adoption. She is about 2 years old, and weighs in at around 7lbs. She is a cute little girl, who is housebroken and would be perfect for a owner with an apartment. She would also be good with children, as she has a perfect disposition. You can see her at the JSAC Tuesday through Sunday from 1pm til 4pm.

Hooter

This week we have Hooter. Hooter is another rescue from North Carolina. He is a 4 month old Beagle & Lab mix, who is already neutered. He loves other dogs and children, and would love to be in a family environment. he is just adorable, and is one of the smartest, sweetest puppies to come through the JSAC in a while. Stop in to take a look at him, or any of the other animals up for adoption at The Jersey Shore Animal Center.

Tiger

This week we have Tiger. He is a 1 year old mixed breed. Probably a Terrier mix. He is neutered male, and is adorable. Very sweet, loving, as he is good with other dogs and cats. He was rescued from North Carolina, and is a new resident to New Jersey looking for a nice warm house this winter. Stop down to the Jersey Shore Animal Center to see Tiger, or any of the other animals who need a good forever home!

Mikey & Mabel

This week we have Mikey & Mabel. Two seven week old Boxer puppies. They are adorable, and were rescued from South Carolina. The mother and Mikey & Mabel were the only ones to survive. Both brother & sister are up for adoption at The JSAC. Stop in to see them Tuesday through Sunday from 1-4 pm. Happy Holiday’s to all, and hopefully for our animals at the shelter.

Tinkerbell

This weeks pet is Tinkerbell. She is a 3 month old mini-pinscher that has been spayed. She is a little cutie-pie that is filled with energy. She plays with dogs 5 times her size and gives them a run for their money. She is a lover and a bundle of energy, so get ready for some excitement with this little girl.

Rogue

This week we have a pitbull mix by the name of Rogue. She has been spayed and is about 2 years old. She was thrown out of a car a few weeks ago in Brick, NJ, and was witnessed by some pedestrians. They called the police, and rescued the dog. Owner was not found as far as I know, but the dog is in great shape and looking for a better home than the one she came from. She is very good natured, and is looking for a good Christmas in her new home, by the fireplace. If you are interested, stop by the JSAC today!!
